So DC ladies that made it to TV have only ever been racebent when they’re supporting characters. Still holding it out for a Supergirl of color even if the chances are slim.

Who would you cast?

That snake is really excited to see your magic trick, Conjura! Though it’s also possible that the thinks your arms are snakes because they are fucking ridiculous.

Number seven can teach you a lesson
7/10:

Traci Shi San as ”Girl-13”
Traci Shi San is the child of world renown Taiwanese paranormal investigator, Dr. Sean San aka “Dr. Thirteen”, and powerful Chinese sorceress Meihui Lan. However, after an accident with experimenting with magic, Meihui was killed and Dr. Sean Shi forbade Traci from pursuing magic. With ancient mystic arts banned from her house and her reach, Traci began to develop a new school of magic. Feeling it outdated to recite incantations of centuries past, she began to tap into "urban magic", developing spells of the modern era. This manifested into a school of magic that derived powers from cities. She uses street sign as a staff to cast spells that correlate to existing street signs. The sign itself changes depending on what she is casting. A stop sign allows her to cast stunning/stasis spells, a speed limit sign allows her to run at top speeds, a street sign allows her to teleport her and others to that particular street. In addition, she is a parkour champ and an avid martial artist. Due to her skills and magical prowess she began fighting crime in Metropolis where she befriended Conner Kent aka Superboy. They both now attend Gotham University and have joined Young Justice. She is an economics major and is currently dating Jaime Reyes aka Blue Beetle.
Design Remarks:
I honestly didn’t know who Traci Thirteen was until recently and I absolutely loved her character. I decided to go for a city punk look since her powers called for it and went with a parkour runner look. I did end up making her completely Asian and replaced her last name with a middle and last name that make up the Chinese translation for “thirteen”.  I thought the concept of "urban magic" was cool but in the comics she wound up just casting normal spells that other mages cast but deriving powers from “cities” which I thought was lame. So I rebooted her power set to use a street sign that could change to cast spells. I hope that was cool… hahah.

Join us in October to celebrate a whole month of your favorite WOC characters in Marvel & DC Comics and their imprints!
What's going to happen?

This October, we’re taking this chance to appreciate and celebrate the WOC characters from Marvel and DC Comics. The event format is in Single Day Themes and Five-Day Themes.
You can find the calendar for the Fest here.

WOCtober Halloween Contest

Because October is Halloween Month, we’re hosting a contest with that theme. There will be four categories: Fanart, Fanfiction, Graphics/Manips, Crafts. Each category will have a grand prize, a second prize winner and a third prize winner. Post any of your fanworks and tag it as #WOCtober Halloween Contest to count as an entry submission.
More information about the contest will be posted soon.

Most importantly!

HAVE FUN THIS MONTH! We mean it! Nothing is strictly enforced, the calendar is more of a suggested guide, and we are not going to be policing anyone or demanding you to post a certain way. You can celebrate your favorite WOC in whatever form you wish, be it fanart, fanfics, crafts, fanmixes, introduction posts, fanvids, cosplay, everything is okay!! Just bring on the love for the ladies and go wild. The tags we will be using are #WOCtober fest or #WOCtoberfest.
Do note that we strongly encourage an emphasis on canon WOC Marvel/DC characters. Fanon racebending is fine, but it should not dominate this event.

This event is run by DCWOC, MarvelWOC, Lornahs & Sirdef.
